We recently had the opportunity to test out the Code Lab Mini, a programmable circuit board designed for kids aged 8-12+. The device is packed with features that make it a great introduction to coding and STEM concepts.

The Code Lab Mini is an all-in-one kit that includes jumbo LED lights, arcade-style buttons, a jumbo speaker, turn knob, volume knob, and a vibration motor. The kit is also expandable with add-on boards that bring rainbow LED pixels, an LCD screen, and a trio of sensors to the Code Lab Mini.

We were impressed with the number of starter projects and example code available to get kids started with coding. The projects “level up” just like gaming levels, allowing kids to progress at their own pace.
